5 days of power bars for 5 people in 2 bear cans
Start of the backpacking trip. Hiking up to Bishop Pass (11k+ ft). Full load.
The carrying gang. Notice how they are still smiling at that point (especially 2nd from R which is me)
Rocks, rocks, patches of snow, rare vegetation and rocks.
Some things you have to see to believe it. Those guys were hiking the 13 miles across the pass and down to LeConte canyon in one day with Kayaks on their back to reach the best class V of California!
Pure moment of meditation. (minus the bugs)
It keeps getting better. (Dusy Basin: behind Bishop Pass, still at 11k+ ft). We woke up with the tents covered with ice.
Okay. Maybe they prefer dreaming about their future climbs.
These beams were probably brought in by heli.
Most spectacular slide we had ever seen. Must be pretty sketchy to ski this in the winter.
Tough boyz on the day of our "tough hike" (down to LeConte canyon and back)
looking South into LeConte canyon
Hiking back up to Dusy Basin camp.
We found out why we met some pro photographers on the way.
Sunset at Dusy Basin
Moon rise
Complete change of colors the next morning
This is backpacking turned 5 stars. Marble countertop and benches.
That's what happens when Binouz' eye is behind the lens
More of Binouz' eye. One of his rock sculptures.
Same. Different angle.
Time to immortalize the gang in the traditional group shot
Even more traditional group shot
Bishop Pass
Bishop and Saddlerock lakes (view from the pass)
Was so windy (and cold) we had to raise a stonewall

Almost back to the trailhead
Our new million $ mansion
comes furnished
a bit twisted by the wind
Part 2 of the trip. "Canoe camping". Starts with a fully loaded vessel (minus photographer in the front seat)
Our camp. Instantly nicknamed "Luxury Suite"
Dardanelles at sunset.
Moonlight after a scary hide and seek canoe party in the dark
Catching moonlight in my PJs. (Combining flash and slooow shutter speed)
